The Lee County Community Tennis Association First Serve program was a full participant on the final day of the Bush Florida Open tennis tourney.

The last day of the Bush Florida Open decided the champions of the Boys 18s and 16s divisions, but it also provided a showcase for the Lee County Community Tennis Association’s (LCCTA) First Serve program.
Area Tennis Director Andrea Nelson with husband and partner Chuck Nelson trained, organized and supervised the boys and girls who performed as ballboys and ballgirls during the championship events at the Landings Yacht, Golf & Tennis Club.
The effort was a part of the ongoing effort by the LCCTA with assistance from the USTA to expose the youth of Lee County to tennis, and to use tennis as a means of building character and producing well-rounded citizens. The tournament finalists and the First Serve participants shared the first of a lifetime experience.
